How we build your pond
A beautiful and unique pond can become a focal point of tranquility in any yard. Watching fish swim is a relaxing, almost Zen-like experience that can be a fantastic addition to the value and ambiance of any property. Building a pond that will stand the test of time requires meticulous attention to detail.
Design collaboration
To begin, our team here at Freedom Fabrication will collaborate with you to capture your vision on paper into a detailed drawing that will help ensure the result will be exactly to your specification.
Excavation & site prep
Next, our team will begin the excavation. This involves the use of machinery to move quite literal tons of dirt as well as large boulders out of the site. Depending on the slope of the surrounding yard, dirt may have to be added to one end or the other to level it properly.
Drainage, filtering & liner
Once the site has been properly excavated, a drainage and filtering system is implemented. This is to ensure the longevity of the pond. This is then followed with a liner that is put into the bottom of the pond.
Rocks, greenery & water
Greenery and rocks are added and formed into the design that you planned out earlier. Once this stage is completed, the water is added in. This is followed by a second pass of greenery to put within the pond water. And just like that, you have a brand-new pond!
